JOHTO DEMO DEX RECONSTRUCTION
Recently, the team at The Cutting Room floor discovered and have been unpacking the 1997 Spaceworld demo for Pokémon Gold and Silver Versions. These demo versions have many changes, most notably having almost entirely different sprites for a majority of the Pokémon.
This find has presented unparalleled opportunity for the Pokémon fan community, yet unfortunately many of us are reliant upon other styles than the Gen 2 style of sprites. Thus, I have started this project, the Johto Demo Dex Reconstruction. My goal is to put together Generation 5 style battle sprites for all the Pokémon who have different designs in this demo, as well as Sugimori style "official" art.
For now, we are reliant upon "donations" of sprites and art; of course, I do not expect anyone to offer their services for free, but any of the images you see on this page have been done by me or my friends. I am very interested in possibly comissioning artists who can emulate the official style well.
